Three-day International e-Conference on Textiles for Advanced Technologies (TextileTech-2022) recently concluded successfully.

Organised jointly by The Textile Association (India) – Delhi and Asian Polymers Association, the conference had around 25 technical sessions in the form of presentations, panel discussions and plenary sessions which saw prominent international experts putting their thoughts on various topics of textile industry in today's context.

In a statement, Vikas Chachra, TAI Delhi Chairman informed that hundreds of speakers as well as delegates from industry academia and from all over the world participated in the event and had thought-provoking discussions.

Textile Tech was about development of advanced textile materials for innovations in various sectors such as fashion fabric, garment technology, defence sector, agriculture sector, eco-protection, non-woven membranes, filtration fabrics, biomedical engineering, human healthcare systems and more, giving new direction to research and development, where the learning was to complement each other by design and not by default. This led to opening of new avenues for the industry to bring forth well-researched, innovative products and solutions.

The e-conference was able to bring experts from various fields like research, manufacturing, end-users and entrepreneurs on the same platform to bridge the gaps and give the right impetus to the advanced technologies in textiles to take the country forward. It disseminated knowledge and especially inspired young entrepreneurs seeking new avenues for growth.

Prominent speakers who participated in the conference included renowned experts from Indian Institute of Technology, University of Leeds – UK, University of Huddersfield – UK, RWTH Aachen – Germany, ITU – Turkey, VJTI – Mumbai, UPTTI – Kanpur, BTRA – Mumbai, MHPA – Bhutan, Industries Department – Govt. of Bihar, Industry experts and experts from medical field and many more.

Vice Chancellor of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology – Dr. Rajendra Kumar Anayath and Business Head of Indorama Industries Limited –Y C Gupta participated in the Conference as Chief Guests of Inaugural and Valedictory sessions respectively.

Other Prominent industry and academia experts who led the conference were Asian Polymers Association President – Dr. Bhuvanesh Gupta, TAI National President –R K Vij, Renowned Textile expert from IIT – Prof. B K Behera, TAI Delhi President and many more.
